Local farming businesses have the opportunity to win the use of Precision Farming Technology worth £25,000 in Rea Valley Tractors’ current competition.

First prize is the use of a tailor made RVT guidance system using RVT RTK worth £15,000. To be fully installed & supported by the RVT Precision Farming team for 12 months. The system will be built for the winner’s specific farming system/machine & include full reporting & training. All makes & models of machinery will be eligible.

The second prize the free use of a tailor made RVT guidance system worth £8,000, terms as per the first prize but without the use of RVT RTK. The third and fourth prizes includes consultation, set up and 12 months support worth £1,000 (per winner). These prizes are designed to optimise the winners current guidance system, including set up of myJohnDeere.com.

As well as the competition, the John Deere dealership is organising a Precision Farming Training & Optimisation Event which will take place on Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th February 2018.

The technical event is taking place by kind permission of JD Leavesley at Needwood House Farm, Needwood, Burton-On-Trent, DE13 9PQ between 07.30-14.30 on both days and is open to all – regardless of what colour tractor you drive!

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore a number of different technical stations including:

• Beat the GPS –  Test your driving skills against ours
• Set up & optimisation –  Learn how to correctly measure tractor & implement offsets, setup documentation & understand the different steering options available to you
• Sprayer Walkaround –  With the NEW John Deere M740i. Learn about Section control & the new Terrain Command Boomtrac
• Hardware Options –  See the full range available from RVT
• #BeStrongBeKUHN See new machinery in action including  KUHN’s mounted sprayer & fertiliser spreaders
• Active Implement Guidance –  How can it benefit your business?

2 NRoSO points are available to all visitors at the event.

Terms & Conditions

• Only one entry per business
• Winners will be notified by telephone shortly after the closing deadline of 16th February 2018
• Your business must be located within our trading area
• No cash equivalent is available
• All hardware remains the property of RVT and the winner agrees to insure the equipment to an agreed value for 12 months
• Any support required over the amount specified in the prize will be chargeable, this can be agreed at the time of consultation
• The winner will be able to purchase the equipment at a discounted rate after the 12 months prize is finished, or if it is no longer required it will be returnable to RVT after 12 months
• If your entry is successful you agree to your business name and photographs/videos of the equipment in use being used in promotional material. Your permission will be asked prior to any material being published.
